According to my Mom, I started pounding on everything I could at a very young age, and haven't stopped since. My first official gig was at age 10 as the solo snare, marching in a parade with a group of baton twirlers!

I was thoroughly involved in Band during my Junior and Senior High School years and loved every minute of it. During this time, I participated in Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Stage Band, went to Solo & Ensemble Contests (District and State levels), and played in the Florida All-Star Senior High Marching Band for 2 years in Gainesville.

I also played in the Lakeland Symphony Orchestra and was in the pit for the Lakeland Little Theatre and Florida Southern College musicals. When I wasn't performing, I could be found in our garage practicing on my drumset for hours at a time.

Like most musicians, I've played with a variety of groups, some more successful than others, and have learned from every one. Early groups included Randy Green & the Legends II, a show band from Polk County. The Mack Willis Group was from my FSU days in Tallahassee. MsTreat was a heavy metal band that toured from here to New Mexico!

I joined the staff at Carlton Music Center in 1990. Along with managing the Percussion Department and teaching private students, I also engineered in the sound studio.

Currently, Carltons keeps me busy during the week and my students are a pleasure. Performing with the classic rock group, BandHaven, out of Winter Haven keeps me sharp and the O-55 Show Band in Polk County is a blast!
